It's something new and fresh for the mind, it is music that has meaning. Songwriter/Guitar/Vocals Bryan Keith started 40 wt. Back in 1996 with former drummer Kevin Allen. They came up with the name 40 wt., while they were drinking a nice big pint of Guinness and compared there music to the different thick yet smooth, heavy and always leaving you wanting more Guinness Stout. We then decided " 40 wt. " would be the name for the band. Bryan and Kevin played together for about 1 year before they found the right fit, Chris Reynolds on bass and that took many auditions. After many years of playing shows and having a great time. The drummer had to move to Florida and Chris went off to college for two years, the band broke up in April 2000. Frustrated Bryan quit the music scene for about five years, but concentrated on writing more music. In 2003 Chris played bass in a local punk band and they needed a drummer. In 2004 Bryan was asked if he would play drums. He took the offer and now he was back in the music scene. While they were playing in the punk band, 40 WT.was always talked about and they knew they had something good, but never had any luck finding a drummer! It was decided in 2004 after putting the demo up on myspace and getting a good response they would get 40 wt. Back together and start looking for a drummer. With the era of the computer it made things a lot easier in the musical marry go around of finding members. After many drummers, shows, cancellations, ups and downs, the lineup was finally completed when Bryan asked Robert Weathers to join in February 2008. Three months later they were in the studio cutting there first self title CD. They packed a full house with there CD release party July 26th 2008 in there hometown at Patsy's Ice House ( R.I.P.) They hit the stage for three months straight and made there way up the West coast as they promoted their new CD. Playing clubs in California like the world famous Whisky A Go Go on Sunset Blvd to a packed house! This power trio kicks out songs like "Bring It Down" "Frayed At Both Ends" " 40 wt." and many more!
