Description
Azam Ali is best known as the voice of duo Vas; and currently, of the Iranian outfit Niyaz, who have released two highly acclaimed albums. She has also had an extensive collaborative career, singing with the likes of Serj Tankian (System of a Down), The Crystal Method, Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails), Mercan Dede, Kodo, Zakir Hussain and many others. She has also lent her vocal talents to films such as 300, The Legend of Earthsea, Matrix Revolutions and Dawn of the Dead. From Night To The Edge Of Day, a collection of interpreted Middle-Eastern lullabies, is Azam's third solo release, and her second for Six Degrees Records.
