Description
'Le fil' is the second solo album outing for the 27-year-old Parisian. Camille is A bilingual, self-trained musician (and self-described "dilettante pianist")
While likened to Bjork, Kate Bush, Laurie Anderson and even Zap Mama, she in fact stakes out a stylistic ground quite her own, with her arresting melodies, quirky performance, and an engagingly witty stage presence absolutely lacking self-consciousness or artifice.
In March 2006, the enigmatic young artist won two Victoires (the French equivalent of the Grammy Awards) - for 'Le fil' as Best New Album of the year, and for herself as Best Live Performer, after touring through more than 50 cities across France.
'Le fil' is now certified platinum in France, with over 300,000 copies sold to date and has since found releases and critical acclaim in the UK and US.
