Description
Having taken some time off after the last album the band found it hard to get back into the groove and decided to scrap a whole load of recordings meant to for “Night Work”. This led to Jake Shears spending some time in Berlin where he rediscovered his love of partying and where he wrote the bulk of this CD, which he describes as “sleazy and supersexual”. Scissors Sisters have worked with the electro pop producer Stuart Price who has worked with the likes of Madonna, Killers and Kylie Minogue. The album is preceded by the single “Fire With Fire” (where again Shears sounds like Elton John) which is a superb taster of what is to come.
A pop world without the Scissor Sisters is extremely lacklustre, so let’s welcome them back and spend a lot more time out on the dancefloor and partying! That’s exactly what pop music is about and it’s exactly what the Scissor Sisters are about. Have fun!
