Description
For his half of 2007's GRINDHOUSE double-feature (with friend and peer Robert Rodriguez), writer/director Quentin Tarantino assembled a typically eclectic set of tunes. With dialogue from the horror flick interspersed throughout the album, the DEATH PROOF soundtrack ranges from orchestral mood pieces (Italian composer Ennio Morricone's chilling "Paranoia Prima") to '70s glam-rock (T. Rex's rollicking "Jeepster") to late-'50s R&B (the Coasters' noir-like narrative "Down in Mexico"), making for yet another gleefully varied Tarantino collection.
