Description
Rhino Records releases the official soundtrack album for Jason Reitman’s dramedy Young Adult. The album includes one track by the composer of the film Rolfe Kent (who previously scored the director’s Thank You for Smoking and Up in the Air). Also featured on the soundtrack are the songs from the movie artists including Diana Ross, and 90’s alt-favourites, 4 Non Blondes, The Replacements, Lemonheads, Veruca Salt, Teenage Fanclub, Cracker, Dinosaur Jr. and Suicidal Tendencies. The Young Adult album concludes with five minimalist instrumental versions of some of the biggest modern rocks songs from the ‘90s, reminiscent of those you might hear on an elevator ride. Performed by Juno composer Mateo Messina, these instrumentals include Faith No More’s “Epic,” Pearl Jam’s “Even Flow,” Beck’s “Where It’s At,” Foo Fighters’ “Big Me” and Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun.” The movie starring Charlize Theron, Patrick Wilson, Elizabeth Reaser and Patton Oswalt will be released in theatres on Thursday 19 January.
