Rebel Yell & Candycorn
It took a year and a half of his life, every penny he had, numerous pennies he didn't have, the largesse of every musician he knew, almost 100 bottles of cheap bourbon, and close to 400 lonely nights. We call the result "Alternative Folk". Teaming up with Bill Feldmann, guitarist and songwriter for the defunct but soon to be refunct Johnny And The Distractions, they crafted eleven original songs of drinking, depression, death, and midgets. From the wailing harmonica of 'Not My Place' to the intricately woven guitars of 'Goodbye', it's a sound you've never heard before. Too country to be folk, too folk to be country, too weird to be anything else. So pour yourself a drink, roll yourself a smoke, sit back and join the Alternative Folk Uprising. When your friends ask what you're listening to, you can proudly respond, "A.F.U!"
