In the past year he has toured extensively with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, appearing as a soloist for their 17th century Tapas program, and was recently awarded an Australia Council Emerging Artist grant to work with acclaimed Canadian violinist Marc Destrube. Grant Herreid performs frequently with Hesperus, Piffaro, My Lord Chamberland's Consort and the Folger Consort, Ex Umbris, Visceral Reaction and New York City Opera, and this year he will make his debut with Tafelmusik and the Newbury Consort. Grant also conducts classes in Renaissance music and 17th century song at Mannes College of Music in New York, and directs the New York Continuo Collective. He has recorded for Archiv, Dorian, Lyrichord, Musical Heritage Society, Newport Classics and others. Andrew Fouts performs regularly with American Bach Soloists, Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra, and the Napa Valley Symphony and has appeared with Philharmonia Baroque, El Mundo, the National Cathedral Baroque Orchestra, Chatham Baroque, and Ensemble Galilei. In 2008 he won first prize at the Henry I. Goldberg International Young Artists Competition and recently became a full time member of Chatham Baroque. Gabe Shuford has performed with a diverse array of ensembles including Past Perfect, Bacchanalia, the Ray Anderson Quintet, and recently appeared with the Orchestra of St. Luke's at Carnegie Hall. Thanks to Gondwanaland Opals for their generous sponsorship, David Enlow and the Church of the Resurrection for the venue, Robb Bifano for his help as music librarian and Kyle, Dave, Andrew, Dongsok, Gabe and Grant for their great work. This album is dedicated to my father, Wayne Roland Brown, whose support, guidance and friendship made this recording possible.
