Pullman is an historic center for unions, railroad, sociology, architecture, and business economics. This album celebrates Pullman historically and present day. All of the songs (except one) are written and performed by Acie Cargill, a noted Illinois poet and folksinger. There is one Pete Seeger song, I'm Sticking With The Union. There are also historical speeches and commentary about the Pullman Plan and a few pieces relating to the Pullman Porters. A song describes Poe Cassical School in North Pullman and another is about Sherwin Williams, the paint manufacturer on Pullman's south edge. Other songs celebrate Jennie Curtis, Eugene Debbs, and arriving and working in Pullman on the shores of Lake Calumet. Special guest musicians include Steve Rosen, Paul Kaye, and Dave Aurelio. The artwork on the album has been beautifully prepared by Lauren Seeley.
