Peter and Mary Alice Amidon are versatile musicians and gifted teachers dedicated to traditional song, dance and storytelling. The Amidons are equally at home doing a concert of stories and songs for adults or children, calling a contra dance for adults or a community dance for all ages, leading harmony singing workshops with adults, or doing an elementary school residency of singing, storytelling or traditional dance. The Amidons have performed their songs, stories and singing games programs at hundreds of elementary schools and libraries throughout the United States. They spend an equal amount of time leading elementary school residencies in traditional dance, storytelling and music. The Amidons are frequent performers/presenters at music and dance festivals, summer music and dance camps, adult harmony singng camps, and national and regional music teacher conferences throughout the United States. 'The Faerie's Gift' is the Amidons' ninth album of songs for children and adults.
