Amy Skjei was born and raised in St. Cloud,MN and Currently resides in central Minnesota where she lives with her husband and two daughters ages three and one. Amy also has been working as a Registered Nurse for the past nine years and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Nursing from Concorida College, Moorhead, MN. Amy started playing piano at the age of six and played in a variety of talent shows, and state contests. She was in her first contest at the age of eight and first concerto competition at the age of 10. Amy went on to win several MMTA state contests and performed for the MMTA Honors Concert on several occasions at Northrup Auditorium at the University of Minnesota. Amy went on to win a piano performance scholorship at Concoria College where she continued to study piano. Family and friends of Amy encouraged her to produce a piano CD of her current compositions a couple yrs ago and she did, calling her first CD Autumn Moments. She continues to be a nurse, but is currently working on another CD of original compositions which she hopes to release sometime this year.
