ANDY ALONZO About The Singer... Andy Alonzo was born in Detroit in 1942. Growing up in a culturally diverse neighbor hood, he was immersed in a variety of musical sounds and rhythms - from Popular and Big band to Gospel and Blues to Latin and Jazz to Rock & Roll and Rhythm & Blues. His performing debut was in a vocal group called The Grenadiers at age fourteen. In 1959, he joined The Latin Counts. By the time he was seventeen, Andy was in a nationally recognized vocal ensemble - The Martiniques - with a hit record on the charts ( ( 'Tonight Is Just Another Night' ). He had finally arrived at age seventeen. From 1961 to 1964, Andy had injoyed a steady recording and performing carreer with Bobby Martins group, learning the club and touring ropes and mixing class with comedic routines. And currently touring with "The Shades of Blue". About The Producer... In 1965, with the advent of electric blue - eyed soul, Andy began a long personal and proffessional association with guitarist Ray Goodman in The Souls Image Band. Together and separately, they evolved with the music; both developed an ear for music - Andy as an arranger and Ray as a sonic tecnical sensor.
