Anthony S. Booker and The Ministry of Praise Power Has been Restored ~Back with an innovative sound and a new CD...In stores Now!~ After a five year hiatus from touring and live appearances, The Ministry of Praise Power (also known as The MOPP), a Trenton based gospel choir, returns with a new sound, a new style and a new CD. Under the direction of Anthony S. Booker, perhaps the MOPP is best remembered for their first CD's title single 'OH LIFT HIM UP' and other hit songs such as 'Standing on the Word,' 'The Lord is Worthy to Be Praised,' and 'Made a Way' from their second CD, '...AND I'LL SING A HYMN.' For in addition to singing these songs while traveling throughout the United States, such songs won them critical acclaim within the gospel music industry, and are still being performed by many choirs and groups throughout the United States. Although they experienced much success and enjoyed touring with both releases, Booker was lead to give the choir a break from touring and rehearsing in order to prepare for the next project that the Lord was leading him and The MOPP to. 'The results of the time spent has been great. This absence from the public that caused some to ask 'where are they now' and 'when will we hear from The MOPP again,' was actually time appropriately invested in working diligently and consistently in the recording studio on The MOPP's new project entitled, restored ' says Booker. Indeed, after prompting Booker to produce a studio project, God has continued to give The MOPP favor in His sight and in the sight of others. Such grace has manifested in the addition of new choir members and musicians, as well as the return of former members, which has resulted in one of the most awesome collaborations in the history of The MOPP. While The MOPP's previous releases were recorded live, contained more of a 'church choir' sound and minimal guest vocalists, restored is a studio recording with a more contemporary sound. It features guest rapper, Solomon Dinkins, who delivers innovative lyrics that are full of enlightenment as well as some of Trenton's finest vocalists; Pastor John Vaughn, Eric 'Country Boy'Ganbriele, Teisha Williams, and Shira Johnson along with several others. Plus, with the assistance of new musical director, Jermaine Langston, restored contains creative beats that compliment it's unique vocal arrangements and thought provoking lyrics which are sure to inspire every listener. Undoubtably, restored is a project well worth the anticipation and investment.
