Armond began singing at the early age of seven years old with his mother and father, Leroy and Mary Kate Jackson, in the church choir at Triumph Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. He continued to sing through out elementary school and high school for talent shows and for anything that gave him the opportunity to sing. His love for music has continued to grow and is as much a part of him as breathing. Armond, started working in musicals and various stage productions, he has been blessed to work with some very talented people such as, Rudy Hawkins, composer; Tony Award Winning choreographer George Faison, Alvin Alley Dance company with Judith Jameison) Five Blind Boys, Tremane Hawkins, Stephanie Mills, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin) ...Michigan Opera Theater, featured soloist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. A member of the Rudy Hawkins Singers (Winners of the Michigan Music Awards for 'Best Choir of the year 2001') He's toured with the cast of the, 'The Devil Made Me Do It,' 'Mama I want To Sing,' 'Harlem NutCracker' and 'Oh Holy Night 2000 and 2001 (Rudy Hawkins).... He has also be seen in publications of Time Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Peoples, Ebony, Golf and Essences and in USA Today news papers, for AC-Delco.
