He Will Meet You Where You Are
Ray Jones and Terry Metz are no strangers to the music industry. Their friendship and musical journey began as members of the highly-successful country music group Rivers Edge, who performed at such great venues as the prestigious Ellipse in our nation's capitol and as a part of Willie Nelson's Farm Aid, releasing three CDs, including one under the direction of two-time Grammy winner Larry Butler. But God had other plans for these two men. At the height of their country-music careers, each faced life-changing personal crises in their lives. Having overcome these challenges and tragedies, Ash2Ash not only ministers through their original music, but also reaches out with their own personal testimonies as they know it is only through the miracle of God's Grace that they are where they are today. It is these testimonies, as well as their obviously sincere faith and desire to share God's Word that reaches their audiences, allowing them to blend music with ministry and encouraging Christians to unite in praise and worship. Combining original soulful melodies with vocal harmony, Ash2Ash has developed a truly unique style which delivers life-changing messages about God's love to young and old alike. In July of 2008, Ash2Ash released their much-awaited new CD, "He Will Meet You Where You Are." This CD features ten contemporary gospel songs, including their oft-requested medley/rendition of 'Jesus on the Mainline.' With the exception of this one song, all other recordings on their CD's are original works, written by the members of Ash2Ash, truly blessings straight from God. Ash2Ash has been truly blessed to share their gift of music ministry throughout West Virginia, Washington D.C. , Virginia , Maryland , Pennsylvania, Georgia and the Caribbean. Special appearances have included the 2006 National Breast Cancer Coalition Conference; Full Gospel Pentecostal Summer 2006 Camp Meeting with Carla and the Redemptions; the first ever Gospel Concert at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. in 2006 with gospel great Stella Parton; the September 11th Memorial Service at Fort Gordon, GA; hymn sing concerts with the Bowmans; and the first Gospel Concert at Sea in November 2006 in the Caribbean with Dove Award Winners The Easter Brothers.
