This is Western Music Association recording artist Aspen Black's 4th release. Dubbed by her fans 'The Horsegirl Poet', Aspen marks the beginning of a new venture in her musical career. As always, she wrote all of the songs and poems on the album, but this time she also plays all of the instrumental back-up on 15 of the 18 selections. Aspen is featured on vocals, back-up vocals, acoustic lead guitar, acoustic rhythm guitar, 12-string guitar, acoustic bass, mandolin, fiddle, and drums. In addition, Aspen recorded, mixed, and mastered the entire project (with the exception of three instrumental tracks that she had previously recorded elsewhere) in her studio at Buksbari Ranch. For those who are not familiar with contemporary western music and poetry, the sound is purposely not like the rock-pop country in Nashville today. It is acoustic in nature, and Aspen's sound could be more accurately described as a modernized blend of Gene Autry and Dale Evans with a folky, John Denverish twist. Stylistically, it's a little old, refreshingly new, and uniquely Aspen. 'From the bottom of my heart, I hope you enjoy.' - Aspen.
