THE ARTISTS Miller-Sydney has an attractive well- trained voice and a lovely stage presence. New York City Amsterdam News. Audrey Miller-Sydney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Virginia State University and a Master of Music degree in Voice from the Manhattan School of Music, She has appeared as soloist in oratorios and as recitalist throughout the New York Metropolitan area, Bahamas, Ghana, Japan and Virginia. Ms. Miller-Sydney has performed the role of Micaela in Carmen, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and Violetta in La Traviata with the New York Opera Society. She has also appeared in the role of Amahl in Amahl and the Night Visitors and performed in the concert version of the opera Nabucco with the Metropolitan Opera soprano Grace Bumbry .She has appeared on national television with the Don DeCormier Singers, recorded with Leonard DePaul and can be heard on CD and video with "Jessye Norman Sings for the Healing of Aids". Ms. Miller-Sydney was presented in concert by The Viriginia State University Alumni Association at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall with a rave review from the Amsterdam News. Ms Miller-Sydney studied vocal technique with the late Emmy Hauser and Lola Wilson Hayes. She continues her vocal studies with the former Metropolitan Opera contralto Hilda Harris .
