Change of Heart
In 2006, by accident, I discovered that there was computer software available which allowed people to record music without having to pay for an expensive recording studio. Once I got over the surprise, it dawned on me that a whole new world of song writing and recording may be open to me. During 2006 I taught myself how to use this technology to a certain degree. By January, 2007, I thought that maybe I could write, perform, sing, record and produce a complete song on my own. Three weeks later I nervously played it to three people and waited for a polite response. To my utter amazement I got more than just a polite response. Instead I was told that the song made two of the people cry, and the other one swear. I took this to be a good reaction! Boosted by this I continued to write around fifteen songs during 2007 and have written another ten by May 2008. I only plucked up the courage to send these songs to other people at the end of 2007. I also got reasonably positive feedback from most of the radio stations and record companies. Since the start of 2008 I have had radio airplay in USA. Asia and the UK. One of my songs will have a commercial release in Nov 2008. Other artists have, and are currently recording versions of many of my songs. I am now looking for a record or publishing deal, but as it is becoming increasingly apparent to me, this is where the hard work and disappointments begin........
