Imperfectionist Collectionist EP
---from the May 10th, 2006 edition of the Boise Weekly: '...Intrigued, I popped Orphans Volume One (the first in what is to be a three-part series) into iTunes not sure of what to expect. I was awed. The tracks are artful, clever, odd, melodic and full of interesting sounds and smart beats. I listened through the five songs and then put the other Benedicteyeball, five-track CD titled Imperfectionist Collectionist in. This one is a little darker, the beats are a little harder and the melodies are a little more experimental and progressive, but it's as interesting and enjoyable a listen as the first...' - Amy Atkins, Music Editor ----------------- the solitary efforts of a young artist... countless hours in studio quarantine have resulted in a diverse catalog of soundscapes, (almost) pop songs, open-ended existential ruminations and many a delightful groove. Often mid-tempo, these rhythms buoy a tasty palette of well-placed sounds. "it's not that i don't play well with others. I'm quite affable, in fact. The solitude of the no-car garage studio, however, has afforded me an avenue for an uncompromised stab at something all my own." you might call it: space-folk-post-rock. nfluenced by the likes of: MMW, sounds like braille, beck, radiohead, bob dylan, fiona apple & the jai alai savant..
