Big Red Button is the collaborative efforts of Christine Mourad, vocals and piano, Jason Orme, guitars and vocals, Greg Griffith, bass, and Dieter Weinzettl on drums. The meeting started in an empty room on Sunset Boulevard where Christine and Jason began their songwriting partnership, and culminated in the writing and recording of the band's first self-released CD, Based On True Events. The record went on to be selected as an Editors Pick on cdbaby.com, and the song 'Leaving Home' was featured in the soundtrack of the independent film, 'Friends With Money', starring Jennifer Aniston, Catherine Keener and Frances McDormand, available on Rykodisc. BRB continued performing, and writing the songs that would soon become 13 Dreams, the band's second CD. Released in October, 2006, it was produced by Zac Rae (Gnarls Barkley, Fiona Apple, Annie Lennox, Alanis Morissette) at The Bank Studios in Burbank, California. Zacs innovative production helped to shape what would become the next evolution of the bands sound. Various traveling Los Angeles musicians add to the musical landscape, both on the record and in live performance, and music from the new record has already been tapped for use in the new show, 'Dirt', starring Courtney Cox, premiering on the FX channel in January, 07. Be sure to check the band's website, bigredbuttonmusic.com, or myspace.com/bigredbutton for more information regarding upcoming shows, merchandise, etc. Thanks for listening! Cheers, BRB.
