If you like truly great songs, listen to 'Change' it could be covered by almost any one at anytime. 'Free, Fast and Fine' is a wonderfully simple and gorgeous folk ballad perfect for Alison Krauss. 'Back to Here' is a classic. 'All They Could See Was The Gray' is traditional blues with an anti-drug twist. This album is a retrospective. Over the years Billy has gravitated toward his blues-folksy roots. But he was eclectic long before it became dirty word in the industry. This collection revisits and celebrates a time when telecasters, hammonds and sitars all showed up in the same place at the same time. There are rockabilly (pun intended), folk, pop, and blues elements which reach critical mass in a psychedelic rush. Wow man! Billy is a survivor. He's played the Troubadour and the Whiskey long before it was pay to play. He has been described as the hardest working music around. He's done side work, fronted bands and there are very few who can pull off the solo acoustic thing like he can.
