SOMEHOW BILLY SCHAUB has managed to capture the 'Current' sounds of America. If the rivers flow and the trees whisper and the land Itself pulsates, It Is In fact moving to the sound of Billy Schaub... One-quarter heartland, one-quarter New York pavement, one-quarter ranch hand and one-quarter Bay Area bad boy. In between touring with the Brodie Stewart Band and opening for Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Billy wrote and performed music for televisions commercials and independent films. 'I've written and performed pop, punk, country, rap, jazz, and every style under the sun.' Many bands came-a-calling for him to play bass and sing, while Billy was quietly recording song after song in his own studio. 'I did it all, the Sunset Strip, a regular at Universal Bar and Grill and even Ernie's Taco House. On weekends he was jamming with Devo drummer Alan Myers and Alanis Morissette's Matt Laug, all the while developing his own sound of America. 'People say my music brings them home... and this is a big country.' Billy just finished recording his new album 'Between Saints and Cigarettes' with Grammy Award winning producer Mark DeSisto. 'It's humbling to walk in the footsteps of Don Henley and Melissa Etheridge. 'Mark is a great guy, he's worked with just about everyone!' BIlly Is currently living large in North Hollywood so, if ya get the chance take it and see him play LIVE! By Kathleen D. Griffin Bauer/Griffin Inc.
