A remarkable young songwriter, Blair Bodine brings a compelling mix of lyrical mastery and soul-stirring melodies to each of her songs. She recently returned to her hometown of Philadelphia to record her first full-length CD. It features some of Philadelphia's finest musicians, such as Jef Lee Johnson (Erykah Badu, D'Angelo) and Joel Bryant (Kenny Gamble, Leon Huff) . The record was produced by Grammy award-winner Glenn Barrett at Morningstar Studios in Ambler, PA. Blair writes on the line of transformation, where light and truth are magnified. Her sound is heavily influenced by the people and places she has encountered while living in Colorado for two years, and while studying in New York City. Blair attended Columbia University and majored in East Asian Languages. So yes, she does speak Chinese. An yes, she does know what your tattoo means. Blair is also involved in global human rights issues. She launched a multimedia campaign in 2000 called 'Beyond All Borders' to raise awareness about the use of child soldiers. She has performed at the United Nations, as well as in Ghana and Switzerland. On the stage, her lighthearted humor and engaging personality make her live performances an unforgettable experience.
