Love Is the Thing
In 1989, Milton A. Dugger,Jr. was summoned out of entertainment retirement to put togther an album of songs for Erich March of Baltimore's March Funeral Homes fame. Having buried so many murdered and unnecessarily ill youth of Baltimore, Mr. March had penned a song 'Needlessly'. An album of songs was made addressing the theme 'Us killing Us' needlessly. The experience led Dugger to meet Lolita who he saw singing at a funeral at March Funeral Home East. This experience rekindled in him the making a record desire which had long ago been put to sleep. Dugger recorded Lolita on cassingle. He christened his label 'Gumption' Records to note that after almost twenty (20) years of being away he had the gumption to jump back into the entertainment arena. He ressurected The Bleu Lights; found Rhapsody; met Solomen; auditioned Giovanna; and, formed the Gumption Group around a phenomenal keyboard player named Corey Brooks. He reinitiated ties with Robert Bell, a Baltimore songwriter. This CD marks the first CD after four cassingle releases on the Gumption records label!
