Bob Locke is an award-winning songwriter, having won awards from Billboard, Nashville Music Awards, and others. In 2005 he completed his first Christian album, 'Gospel Gumbo.' The inspiration came from visiting different churches over several years, appreciating each unique style of worship. There is a song dedicated to each church on the Gospel Gumbo 10 song CD. Bob enjoys bringing people together through music. Different nationalities, different denominations, different music and worship styles...and bringing them to the public eye. Upon release of 'Gospel Gumbo,' Bob was able to coordinate a citywide event for communities of the Santa Clarita Valley. Churches from all over Santa Clarita came together to appreciate the beauty of different styles of worship. From Catholic to Baptist, country to rap, artists came together in unity and harmony at Central Park (Santa Clarita). Bob can write songs about anything...He's had national reviews for writing songs about mangos to rambutan. Bob has received awards for country songs, a rap song, novelty songs, and others. He credits his dad for inspiring him with harmonies through the barbershop quartet and his brother for encouraging him to sing with the trio, ElderLocke. 'Producer Jeff Vincent, however, brought my songs to life with his genius in producing the Gospel Gumbo CD. Jeff is great!' states Locke. In addition to writing and producing CDs (also visit ElderLocke.com also on CD Baby), Locke serves as president of SCV-Arts Corp., organizing events and venues for independent artists. Bob co-hosts a radio segment on KHTS AM 1220 on Fridays at 4:10pm (PST) called the 'VIP Experience' to premiere independent talent with live artist interviews and premiering artists' CDs. Bob also co-hosts a bi-weekly TV show, 'SCV-Arts Presents...' showcasing local talent, on 'TV Talent Night.' Bob's primary focus is songwriting. He gives thanks to God for the gifts, talents, and opportunities He has given him to reach people through music. Bob hopes you will find this CD uplifting and encouraging!
