Jump for Joy
The Boilermaker Jazz Band presents a new CD of swinging music: 'Jump for Joy'! The title track is from the Duke Ellington stage play of the same name from 1941. This hot tune epitomises the sound and spirit of the Boilermaker Jazz Band. Listeners and dancers alike will revel in the riffs! Sing and Swing along with familiar melodies by the great composers like Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Rogers and Hart, and of course Duke Ellington. Enjoy these solid jazz era classics, and maybe find a 'new' gem or two along the way. There are 19 tracks to enjoy here- nearly 68 minutes of joyful, soulful, swinging and sentimental sounds.
