All-American University Tour-2005-Live
'The All-American University Tour was a concept I came up with during the recording and production of SCREAM in Fall of 2004. SCREAM was so different from my previous projects, and I believed it had the ability to really reach out to a wide spectrum of people and places. Having been fortunate to have had local and regional success in the college arena in past years, I thought to myself, "You know, we should just expand the model and take this across the country." So in April 2005 we hit the road playing to countless major universities in the South, Northeast, and Midwest (the AAUT II followed shortly in September 2005). Every show on the tour was a little different. Some were acoustic shows in small eclectic venues, while others were full band performances in university amphitheaters. But no matter what type of show, everyone was so welcoming to us and to my music. People always asked me, "Brandon, how can we help? What can we do?" My answer was and is always the same, "By coming to my show, listening to my music, even buying this record in your hands right now, you are helping me more than you know. Thank you for that." Friends, this record is like a photograph only better. It is a collection of recorded performances from across the country during my 2005 tour. The 2005 AAUT was a very special experience for me, and I wanted a souvenir...but not just for me. I wanted to be able to offer anyone who enjoyed his or her experience with the tour a piece of those very special performances. Enjoy this music! It's raw and unpolished personality portrays the sincerity we felt in each performance. It is an accurate depiction of the AAUT, and a genuine cross-section of performances in the fullness of their innocence.' -Brandon.
