Music River-Original Whitewater Songs & River Ball
Music River is a fun CD collection of twelve songs celebrating whitewater paddling and the river experience the great outdoors. Since it's release, it has become a favorite among paddlers of all types and ages in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and other countries around the world. The collection was written by canoeist Brant Miller and kayaker Tom Joy and was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee in an Americana Country and Bluegrass style. Brant is the lead vocalist on most of the songs and is also heard on acoustic guitar, harmonica and mandolin. His straightforward vocals compliment the down-to-earth themes of these unique songs about canoeing, kayaking and rafting, and there is no lack of humor to be found! Other instruments include hot fiddle, lead acoustic guitar, resonator guitar and electric bass. Jessica Ringle adds her soulful lead vocals to a couple of songs and sings backup on most others. The CD booklet even includes a glossary of terms used in the songs - for those new to whitewater paddling.
