Brian has been patiently and steadily honing his songwriting craft since his first independent release in 1998. Now in 2005, WAKE arrives to find him in his best and most mature form yet. WAKE displays Brian's wide array of influences and musical tastes. It is his combination of genres and styles that set him apart from the pop songwriter pack and gives him the depth that keeps you listening. Simply put, it is easy to find a connection with Brian's music. 'As for the title, 'WAKE' symbolizes important life processes,' Brian says. 'The word 'wake' can mean opening your eyes, or it can mean paying tribute to someone or something that you lost. Or it can be the trail that's left behind. To me, all of those are important images and lessons.' Recorded in his small home studio over the past year and a half, Brian played all instruments, engineered, and mixed WAKE. 'Working at home really allowed the songs and recordings to come in their due time,' Brian tells us. 'I recorded maybe 15 more songs, and written maybe 30 more since my last record in 2001. This was a very creative time for me, and I achieved the maturity and style that I wanted.'
