A musical collaboration was formed between Brian Just and Jesse Stevens in 2005 when they recorded their first album EVERY TREE AND EVERY STONE. With Brian's songs and Jesse's sound engineering they found a mixture of musical emotions and melodies that are even more focused and lush with sound in the 2008 release OPEN AIR. OPEN AIR. The album was recorded in basements, bedrooms, garages and yurts in Portland, Oregon and the Oregon Coast. Brian being from the Midwest (Minneapolis) and Jesse being from the West Coast (Portland) they created a country folk sound with the waves of Pacific Ocean washing over. 'ambiguously descending, contemplative acoustic chords and gentle breezes of harmony must surely be what going to heaven and finding that the sun is constantly shining and the merlot is free forever must sound like' ~Ian Fildes Americana UK 'he is in 2007 singing timeless songs that work just as well at a bar as they would if he were sitting on your front porch.' ~Bob Longmore Howwastheshow.com 'a nod to the timeless sounds of the 1960's with it's acoustic-centered songs mixed with piano and the right amount of hippie' ~Tammy Reese Rift Magazine.
