Unwrapped Candy is an accomplishment that took over 30 years to achieve. At age 15, I learned some chords on the guitar and turned all my poetry into \'songs\'. My life long dream is to finally be able to hear my songs over the radio! Not necessarily to become rich and famous, I\'m used to living below the poverty level...Working in the orchards and fields since age 3 and spreading asphalt before and after school since age 5! I know what hard work is. By the time I was 11 I had my own \'baby sitting\' business going, to get myself out of the family business of \'grunt-work\'. Ever since then I have made child care my career, but writing music is my passion, my dream. I am currently working on a Christmas album with my three daughters. Apryl, Georgia and Malory.I always wanted a \'family band\', in our spare time we have fun with our music. I grew up with the Partridge Family,Monkees, Brady Bunch, etc. A lot of the songs I write I play for \'my\' kids at work too, editing any inappropriate lyrics of course! My music is different, it comes from my heart and life\'s experiences; what I\'ve lived and what other\'s have gone through as well. I like to write songs for people. I get a lyric in my head and out comes the rest of it, then I set a tune to it... That\'s a little backward, but, that\'s the way I do it. Then I take it to my friend and co-writer-producer, Terry Carleton and he fixes any musical and lyrical damage I did to the song. He\'s the magic behind the music! Thanks Terry! I hope you enjoy the album, thank you for taking the time to listen.
