All These Words
I am a child of the 1980s; a singer-songwriter, who has always found my muse in my day to day experiences and interactions. Born and bred in a small, midwestern, college town, I co-wrote my first song at the age of 18, with my musical partner-in-crime, Josh Shade. For a few years, Josh and I performed in Pittsburgh and Central Ohio as the band lynk, while we were both in College. After a couple of years spent compiling new material, I began recording All These Words, in July 2003 at MooPigFace Recording Studios in Columbus, Ohio. I enlisted the help of some awesome musicians: Dan Boyd (Drums), Jasey Schnaars (Bass) and Pat Bolich (Keys). I set out to craft an album, which expanded on my generally, solo, acoustic renditions of my songs. After a few months, I emerged from the Studio with my first solo album. Although my major influences are artists such as Dan Bern, Billy Pilgrim, Ani Difranco, Steve Earle, Shelby Lynne, the Indigo Girls and Lyle Lovett, I can't escape my love for hip-hop, jazz and bluegrass. I can only hope that a little bit of each of these made their way onto this album. Now I'm putting a couple years' worth of living into your hands and ears. Hopefully you enjoy listening to these songs as much as I enjoy singing them.....
