Been There Before EP
Chris was trained intensely as a classical musician since age 6 and has focused almost entirely on the piano. He has studied piano at the Cincinnati College - Conservatory of Music, Univ. of Michigan, the Interlochen Center for the Arts, Central Michigan University, and Wayne State University. His teachers have included Steinway artist Dr. Louis Nagel, Telarc Records Recording Artist Michael Chertock, Portuguese Concert Pianist Dr. Alexandra Mascolo David, and Dr. Arvi Sinka, among others. He has an extensive classical and jazz piano repertoire which has brought him musical attention in jazz circles throughout the country. He has a new release of original rock material due out in March of 2007 entitled 'Beautiful Lies' Chris has also performed with many of Detroit's leading bands and artists including The Profit, Kathleen Domish, Midtown Underground, and The Silk Stone Project. He was recently feautured in the music magazine MIDWEST ROCKS' as an up and coming performer. Chris has toured throughout the Midwest and South arriving in New York, Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, Cleveland, Northern Michigan, and Mrtyle Beach. Some of his most noted performances have been at the Arts-Beats and Eats and JAMbalaya Festivals in Michigan. He had a video released for the single 'Live While We Can' in 2006 from the 'Been There Before EP' directed by Timothy Atwood. Chris is often compared to Bruce Hornsby, John Mayer, Ben Jelen, and the Dave Matthews Band. Many followers note that the vocal style somewhat reflects Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins. Recent downloads off the new album 'Been There Before' have reached well into the thousands with critical acclaim.
