Walk with God
Thanks to all of you who have been praying for my father Earl. My dad went to be with our Lord March 10th watching the sun rise. It was a blessing to know he is not suffering any longer. The night before he passed away, he knew it was time. We had one last laugh together before we told each other I love you, and I received a phone call the next morning. The most important thing my dad did was accept Jesus into his heart. All my life he has taught me the value of God being in my life. All the years I traveled with the military and being over in the gulf war, my dad told me to keep my faith in Christ and make sure I kept God in my life! I knew in my heart my dad was going to heaven, but in January he re-dedicated his life to Christ and re-affirmed his faith in God! My dad was the kind of guy who would give you a hand without asking. He worked very hard all of his life, and really enjoyed time just working around the house and in the garage with all his little crafty ideas. A great craftsman he was with handed down knowledge from his dad and grandfather as I have been handed down those same traits and it feels good to know some things will live on from my dad. He taught me to be the man I am today, and I am a very proud son of my father and the life he lived. I will miss my dad so much! Heaven bound on this CD was played at his funeral. He was 63 when he died, and this disease ALS is such a horrible disease! My heart goes out to anyone with a loved one affected with any disease, and this one in particular takes every ability accept the ability to think. The body eventually can't move, and you have to go on a breathing machine to keep you alive. I thank the Lord, my dad went without that breathing machine. He went when he just couldn't go on anylonger by himself, and he knew it was time. None of us know when our time will come, and I can only say try to get the things done that are most important to you each and everyday. Keep Christ in your heart always, and your faith in God strong and you will live a life fuller than most. Never be affraid to share the Lord with someone who is willing to listen, and make sure to tell the ones you love just how much you love them...God bless you and thank you again for your prayers. I love you Dad! & I will see you again someday...
