'Had I not known Christian Fabian for a number of years, I may have been hard pressed to adequately express the qualities of this recording. In this current project, however, I can hear Christian's optimistic, jovial, caring and fun loving personality shining through in the music. I must admit to having further insight by virtue of being Christian's band mate in the Lionel Hampton Orchestra for just over ten years. I can testify that this talented bassist has learned one of 'Hamp's' most important lessons, and that is, no matter how much skill you attain, don't forget to have fun with the music!
