Who Do You Want to Be
Colleen has been a musician since the ripe old age of two when she used to sing Kenny Rogers songs on her Grandma's knee. To be honest, things haven't changed much since then. Colleen enjoys a life filled with music, love, laughter and theatre. Born and raised in Southern Ontario, she has gone on to become a celebrated international performer. Having been in productions all over the globe Colleen has performed everywhere from the prestigious eastern Charlottetown Festival, to Hamilton Place, up to our north country in Timmins, way over to the western film sets of Vancouver, across the seas to Europe, and all the way down south to Brazil. Along with performing, Colleen has been working with young people all of her life. As a teacher in the dramatic and performing arts for over 16 years, Colleen has seen the difference first hand that music can bring into a child's life. Her love of inspiring others in the arts, led her to create in*spi*art where she leads young artists by example, helping them to believe in themselves and uncover their untapped potential and hidden talents. Believing in yourself - who you are - your beauty, your gifts, your potential, is invaluable and something that has the ability to create change. Getting someone to believe they can do anything they set their mind to opens up a world of possibilities for them and for the lives of those around them. Colleen strives with her art to create beauty & change with fun, excellence, respect & dignity. Her latest solo recording 'Who Do You Want To Be' is dedicated to our young people - The future of tomorrow. A CD filled with inspiration and hope it rings true with young listeners as they can relate to the themes, music and lyrics. With songs such as 'Love Will Find A Way', 'Listen' and 'What You Don't Know' she is able to connect with the pulse of the youth and speak to them through the medium they love and understand, music.
