In 1996 in Detroit, Mi, K Street Records opened it's doors to the world of Hip-Hop. The name however came from Lawton, OK, where the founder John Boose, AKA Cool Boose, was part of an R&B group called 'Extreme Caution', on Keystone Street. After the group dismantled, Cool Boose, went back home to Detroit and started K Street Records. John Boose, AKA Cool Boose, has been involved with music since he was 8 years old. He quotes, ' I remember when my mom would have all her old records out and my brother and I would sing along with the records. I gained a lot of respect for those artists and performers from back in the days, because they were true artists.' Cool Boose brings to the Hip-Hop world, honesty and hard work ethics. He's been blessing Mic's and cyphers for over 10 + years now, opening up shows for such acts as Nice & Smooth, R. Kelly, Twister, Mint Condition, and Petey Pablo, just to name a few. He is seasoned on the mic and on stage, He quotes 'I've been in the trenches for awhile with a strong background in the battle. The battle is a big part of Hip-Hop, and I feel like I can hang with some of the best out there.' Cool Boose didn't always have the 'Hip-Hop scene', coming up in Detroit, there wasn't but a few people who was, what he called real Hip-Hop heads. For years the mid-west did not have a voice in Hip-Hop, and those who did had to leave the mid-west to do so. With the likes of Eminem, Nelly, and others coming out of the mid-west more doors has opened. You will have no problems riding to the sounds of Cool Boose, with his real to life voice and music, he is sure to become one of the best.
