Matthew Gaskins is a musical artist from Bolingbrook, IL. He began writing poetry around the age of 15, but it wasn't until after high school that he began to take his artistic talents seriously. When he was in high school he was given the nickname 'cracker jack' (Cracajac) by one of his good friends - and it stuck. His music is a direct reflection of his life, with things that he has experienced and has seen happen around him. 'We are constantly at war... life is a continuous battle against temptations that lead us down paths of demise.' Matt prays that his songs will ignite hope and provoke thought to those who are facing similar trials, and in turn, help to fix their eyes on Jesus. 'There is always hope in the blood of Christ.' Matt writes and produces his own music. He serves at his home church as a sound tech and actively participates in the worship and drama ministries.
