Dale Peterson's Bandera
Dale Peterson's 'BANDERA' released in 2005 This debut release for both Peterson and new record label Root 66 recording company - is a tribute to his late father, James 'Harry' Peterson who was a respected steel guitarist and songwriter in the early days of the post W.W. II country music boom. Harry worked with the likes of George Jones, Ernest Tubb and Slim Whitman to name a few. Honoring his roots, Dale has put together a recording of fifteen classic honky-tonk covers that includes a song by his father, "I'll Never Take You Back Again". "These are some of the songs that I remember my father playing back in the day - songs that had a strong impact on my musical development." 'BANDERA' is the first of two releases dedicated to the life and music of Harry Peterson (also see "Son of Harry" 2007).
