?Classic Piano Concepts, Danny Guerrero's new CD, richly illustrates Danny's musical artistry and technical virtuosity. Danny's piano versions of classical piano selections like Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, excerpts from operas, and medleys of Broadway shows such as Westside Story and Fiddler on the Roof are innovative and imaginative. Danny has worked as a conductor in Las Vegas and other locations around the world with such artists as Charo, Mitzi Gaynor, Kathryn Grayson, Jim Nabors, Kay Starr and John Gary. He recently conducted a production of the opera Andrea Chenier, and has composed film scores and arranged music for TV shows. A native of Denver, Colorado, Danny began his concert career at age 11, playing with a symphony orchestra. Danny attended the Aspen Festival of Music and studied under Darius Milhaud. After achieving a Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Arts Degree in Music Composition at the University of Denver, Danny studied film scoring with David Raksin and Earle Hagen, and composition with the legendary Spud Murphy. He also worked as assistant conductor at the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera and the Shubert Theater. He has worked as a consultant on movies and his playing is featured on the piano track of Corrina Corrina. Danny's musical expertise and delightful personality are appreciated and applauded wherever he performs.
