Made in L.A.
Danny del Rey proves in his debut album, Made in L.A., that he is a guitar hero for a new generation. At the tender age of 14, Danny has already been compared to a young Eric Clapton. Made in L.A. features the two hit singles, Made In L.A. and Back On The 405. Both songs were co-written and performed by Danny and his dad, yes we did say his dad, Rich Hechter (Pen-Men, The Stiffs, Around The Bend and Legal Alien). The songs are based upon Danny and Rich's fond memories and experiences in Los Angeles. Places like Manhattan Beach, Venice Beach, The Loews Hotel, Whiskey a Go Go, Pink's, and Nate'N Al's famous deli are all touted on the EP. This music is pure ear joy for rockers and fans of L.A. It showcases Danny's tremendous lead guitar playing on top of driving rhythms that are guaranteed to get you up and moving! What is most remarkable, in addition to Danny's ridiculous guitar playing, is the fact that Danny del Rey plays the drums, bass and rhythm guitars on the tracks. He is truly a one-man band. The album was recorded using engineer Thomas Smouse at the Fuzzy Slippers Recording Studio in St. Paul, Minnesota. The band gives special thanks to Ms. Stephanie Devine for lending her vocals on the track Back On The 405. A percentage of the proceeds from the purchase of the song Made In L.A. will be donated to Gallagher's Army, a charitable organization devoted to helping the families of our fallen soldiers.
