Nothin' But the Curtains Waved Goodbye
Traditional Bluegrass at it's finest! This is the new album by Dave and Stone County. It was recorded at Tom T. Hall's studio in Nashville and contains three of Mr. Hall's fine songs, the classic The Year Clayton Delaney Died, the cookin' Chattanooga Dog, and the title song Nothin' but the Curtains Waved Goodbye. Fiddler Deannie Richardson, fiddle player for Vince Gill and Patty Loveless, joins the Stone County boys for this outing. As usual, there's Dave on vocals and Martin guitar, Ferrell Stowe plays the resophonic guitar (Ferrell's a ten time SPGMA award winner, and his stobro playing is feature in the new Rob Schneider movie, 'Big Stan.' Rick Otts plays banjo and sings tenor, Rick's played with many of country and bluegrass' stars including Ronnie Stoneman and Jerry Van Dyke. The overdubs and mixing were handled by Rick at his studio the Stringhouse in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Mike Dunbar produced the CD, also playing upright bass and singing baritone. Mike's played behind Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, as well as being a member of Red, White and Blue (grass).
