Day In the Life was formed in the spring of 2006. We all have been off and on as band members since we were in about 9th grade. There has been some changes here and some changes there but for the most part we always seemed to get pulled back together. We started out as a hardcore band called Bottom Line the sound was along the lines of Hatebreed, One King Down you know the late 90's hardcore scene. From there Dan and Kyle started a hip hop group called Line of Defense which then evolved into H.O.A. short for Head On Approach. H.O.A. has been laying low for some time but is by no means dead just hibernating. From there we evolved our hardcore band into more of a new age metal group called Lost In Translation. After Lost in Translation, Dan and Kyle arrived at this playing out at bars type deal to get a few extra bucks. We started out just doing cover tunes such as O.A.R., Dispatch, Sublime etc. Etc. Then we started to jam and record our sessions making funny songs about nothing calling ourselves Skrimpable Material. That was when Dan and Kyle decided that this goofing around could really be something for people to enjoy. Collin joined the team and the name was changed to Day In The Life. A few months later Jeremy would join the mix after he left his band CoR in search of greener pastures. The music they made is a fusion of Reggae, Punk, and Ska all brought together in a high energy jam session. Playing gigs all over the Capital Region and winning the 100.3 The Point Battle of the Bands at the Saratoga County Fair has rounded out our time this summer. Day In The Life is a splash of color, in a choir filled with shades of gray.
