Have Guitar Will Travel
Delton was a regular at Nashville, Tennesee's Bluebird Cafe for more than a year. He also invaded the New York/New Jersey market while remaining central in Michigan. His music is very lyrically oriented singing auto-biographical songs of love, life, and spirituality. All with the intent to inspire hope even if in darkness. His delivery was always heartfelt; with a live show paralled by no one. His show could be described as Bruce Springsteen meets Marc Bolan(T-Rex). He often played without amplification for three hours at a time. Taking the moniker 'The D-Man' Delton Parker his music has been decribed as 'Johnny Cash meets Cinderella (The Band)' and 'Tom Waits meets The New York Dolls'; the latter a quote from The Last Vegas lead singer Chad Cherry.
