Mountain Standard Time
In the Summer of 2003 The Dendrites were born. They attempted a solid instrumental line-up consisting of purely rhythm instrumentalists who had a true love for traditional ska/reggae music. This lasted about 3 years until one evening during a show in five-points the potential of the band was realized. This realization was known as trumpeter Squiddius J. Madden. With his sincere dedication and collaboration to the group, The Dendrites are now a nine-piece heavy-hitting ensemble with a wrecking-ball four-piece horn section and an appetite for originality and groove. Mash it up! The Dendrites hail from Denver Colorado and are in the business of making sure the clubs are hot enough to melt the snow off the roofs! Bringing a very original and creative blend of atmospheric spaced out dub ska, with a groove that would make you grab that surf board and hit...the slopes? Style and musicianship as tight as this doesn't come along very often. When it does, you best listen or that or you'll be the one who get's 'it' 4 albums later! While all your friends were down from the beginning...dark smokey clubs, sweaty dancing souls, syncopated rhythms, the sound of the city. Ska is once again alive in Denver. 'Mountain Standard Time' is the first record, so good it's in it's own time zone. Don't forget to set your clocks back to 1965, then quickly step into 3001!
