ABOUT THE CD My love for singing inspired me to record this CD dedicated to my family (my mom, Elisa; my sister,Orlie;my dad,Oscar) and friends. All the music is meaningful to me in different ways. Most of the songs are showtunes by Rodgers and Hammerstein, and standard tunes like I left My Heart in San Francisco and Moonglow because they remind me of the kind of music my Dad listened to when I was 7 years old. Other songs are by Gershwin, American Folksongs, and two Filipino classic songs, Dahil sa Iyo (Because of You) and Gaano kita Kamahal (How much I love You), are both classical romantic songs about love, dedication and commitment. I added Ave Maria by Schubert, a song I often sing in Church, as a dedication to our Blessed Mother. I meticulously selected the songs with romantic nature and inspiring lyrics that suit my singing voice. Thanks to Mr.Watkins who is a great mentor in music.
