Divine Praise was founded in 1992 with the goal of sharing God's infinite love with thousands while lifting up his HOLY name through song. The group began as a small ensemble of five teenagers who met in the living room of Grace Raynor's (choir director) parents' home for rehearsal. Today, they are more than 20 people strong and those teenage voices have matured into voices that produce succinct harmony and melody. Although the young men and women of Divine Praise come from various churches and backgrounds, their goal remains the same---ministry first. They have had the opportunity to share their ministry before hundreds of souls at an array of functions from WDAS' Annual Unity Day to holiday concerts before troubled youth at detention centers across the area. Robert Brickhouse (music director), Grace Raynor, and Stacey Harcum are credited with helping the group produce their freshman CD entitled, 'Brand New.' The CD has captured audiences with it's unique sound and it's dynamic blend of harmonies that usher in the presence of the Lord through praise and worship, contemporary jazz and traditional music. The primary focus of The Ministry remains lifting up the name of Jesus in song and spreading His love through the sharing of the Gospel. Divine Praise Music Ministry has and will perpetually seek to inspire and affect every audience they encounter with the message of hope, triumph, and love in Jesus Christ.
