Take Part of Me with You
Don Lampson comes from a town in Southern California, where he was raised on Mexican food, Hawaiian shirts and hillbilly music. He got his first Martin guitar at eleven and won the sixth grade talent contest by doing a cover of Johnny Cash's 'Folsom Prison Blues,' which he still sings today. Don's music will evoke visions of people and places that could come from the tales of John Steinbeck. They are stories from the heart. He sings in a powerful, honest voice, playing his guitar with both the style and spirit of finger pickers from Merle Travis to Doc Watson.. The stories will linger in your mind long after the songs are ended and the melody has faded. Don lives with his partner, Peg Grady, on Rancho dos Estrellas in the heart of the Chaparral, where they have more love, happiness and freedom than a dozen 'normal people.'
