This band is exactly what the name implies. A surprise awaits any interested listener who seeks to find out what lies behind Door #3. The band hails from central Iowa but brings together a world of musical experience. Band members have played in symphony and Broadway pit orchestras, performed in Reno, taught at various schools and universities, composed television soundtracks, and now offer you their first CD, Clarity's Arrival. Often referred to as "That band with the harp" they have a unique instrumentation of orchestral harp, flute, electric and acoustic guitars, bass and percussion. Equally unique is their sound and approach to songwriting. It truly defies simple categorization. As it skips across styles, it includes a balance of strong vocals and memorable instrumental performances. When pressed to give some kind of style definition, lead guitarist and songwriter Rich Beachler said. "Our genre is perhaps best described as none-of-the-above, but our listeners seem to be those who value a mix of light jazz, updated folk, classic rock and coffeehouse pop." 90% of their performance material is comprised of original compositions and Clarity's Arrival follows that model. You'll hear lyrics that reflect on life and love wrapped in melodies and themes that will remain in memory long after the CD stops spinning or your iPod turns off. That's what's behind Door #3. Door #3 is: Jennifer McAbee: Flute and Vocals Pat Boddy: Harp and Vocals Rich Beachler: Guitars and Vocals Steve McCombs: Bass Brad Gage: Drums and Percussion.
