Some Pretty Darn Good Songs By Dr. Jay & Miss Dian
Album Notes: first off, this canzoniere is not in any incontrovertible order - i wanted you to hear some of our songs and these seem to adhere to that premise. now a few brief words concerning those involved in the making of the sounds on this CD are called for (if for no other reason than to bring up to date all those who wish details of the technical and or musical genre). i should bring to your attention the fact that our music exists in a somewhat aberrant incarnation in that our band (a very loose term) consists of: all vox - miss diana, with the exception of the subsequent 'yea, yea's' on 'i gotta make it somehow' which included mike, skip, and myself. musicians - dj, excepting the acoustic guitar on 'martyr on the road' which was played by our memphis friend Eric Lewis. some choir & strings were performed by Huzoor Korg. The songs were recorded @ house of blues studio (la or memphis), record ranch (memphis) - thanks to Skip McQuinn - or at the ice creame factory - on either a 32 track, a 16 hard disk, or a couple of da-88's. most mixing was done on a trident series 80. engineered, arranged & produced - dj. plus some vocal engineering by Mike Iacopelli (no umlount or grave over the e, i or o). The best way to keep in touch with us is @ drjaymissdiana.com - all this stuff © mmv USA, UK. all of miss diana & i's songs are published through prazin' music, bmi thanks for the listen, dj.
